Who has to take the test ?

Language Requirements for Canadian Citizenship:
Government of Canada accepts results from these language tests:
- Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program General Test (CELPIP-G) or
- Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program General (Listening and Speaking) Test (CELPIP-G LS )
You need a score of 4 or higher (up to 12) in listening and speaking. - IELTS General training test
You need a score of 4.0 or higher in speaking and 4.5 or higher in listening. - TEF (French only) test,
- TEFAQ (French only) or
- TEF pour la naturalisation
Candidates need a score of B1 or higher (B2, C1 or C2) in listening and speaking.
You do not need for appear for a language test if you :
- Attended a secondary or post-secondary program in English or French(in or outside Canada.
- Completed LINC (Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada) training.
- Completed a provincial language program in British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario or Quebec.
