Overall, it is apparent that petroleum and engineered goods contributed to the largest share of export earnings, and the biggest change in export earnings was seen in textiles.
The revenue generated by petroleum in 2015 was recorded as 60 billion which increased by approximately 2 billion in 2016. The engineered goods also saw a rise from 58 billion in 2015 to 61 billion in 2016. However, the export earnings by gems and jewelry was comparatively less, that was 40 billion in 2015 and it further declined in 2016 to 40 billion. While, the agricultural products contributed to the same amount, that was 30 billion in both the years. Although, the earnings from textiles was only 25 billion in 2015, it escalated to above 30 billions in 2016.
The most significant change was seen in textiles as it soared by 15.24%.Moreover, engineered goods witnessed a jump of 8.5% from 2015 to 2016. However, little variations were noticed in petroleum and agricultural products as they only surged by 3% and 0.81% respectively.
