Overall, it is apparent that rate of robbery was the least in the given time period. Moreover, while levels of burglary saw a downward trend, car theft cases increased with time.
The number of robbery cases fluctuated over the period starting with only 600 incidents in 2003 and reaching a peak of 900 cases in 2005 before dropping to 500 incidents in 2008. In the following years, same trend was observed, where the cases rose to 800 in 2010 and then finally declined to 600 in 2012.
Burglary was the most common type of crime in 2003 with 3400 cases and the number surged to 3700 in 2004. However, it decreased steeply to 1100 cases in 2008. The number of incidents then remained constant for the last four years at 1400 cases. On the other hand, car theft saw an upward trend. 2700 cases of car theft were reported in 2003 which later plummeted to a low of 2000 in 2006. However, the rate of car theft saw a steady growth and reached 2600 cases in 2012 after surpassing burglary incidents in 2007.
