How long is First Aid certification valid in BC?
WorkSafeBC First Aid certificates are valid for 3 years from the date of completion. We recommend booking recertification 2-3 months before expiry.
What's the difference between OFA 1 and OFA 2?
OFA 1 (Emergency First Aid) is an 8-hour course for low-risk workplaces. OFA 2 (Standard First Aid) is a 16-hour comprehensive course required for higher-risk environments.
Do I need to bring anything to class?
Just bring photo ID and wear comfortable clothing suitable for practicing on the floor. All training materials and equipment are provided.
Can I get First Aid training if I don't speak perfect English?
