The system used for rubbish/ garbage collection in your local area is not working properly. This is causing problems for you and your neighbours.
Write a letter to the local council. In your letter:
– Describe how the rubbish collection system is not working properly
– Explain how this is affecting you and your neighbours
– Suggest what should be done about the problem
Dear Sir/Madam,
My name is Ramandeep Singh.I am writing this letter on behalf of the residents of Surrey to draw your kind attention towards the improper waste collection system of our area.
The garbage trucks do not come on the right schedule to pick up trash and sometimes the waste gets accumulated for 2 weeks. Moreover, the rubbish bins installed are not sufficient, given the increasing population of this area.
This issue has given birth to a lot of problems. Since the garbage bins overflow with trash, it gets scattered on the roads and streets. Due to this, it has become a breeding ground for mosquitoes, houseflies and other insects. Moreover, the bad odour from the garbage disturbs everybody. As a result, all the residents have a fear of getting sick and infected.
I would like you to look into this matter urgently and ensure the lorries come to pick up the trash twice a week. Apart from this, more garbage bins should be installed in this area so that the rubbish is not scattered on the streets.
I hope you will take immediate measure to solve this problem.
Yours sincerely,
Ramandeep Singh
