Dear Sir,
I am writing this letter to request a week off in the end of this month.
As you know I am a part time student in Vancouver Community College, I have my final exams in the last week of November. The reason to take time off is to prepare for my exams. Moreover, since I am a dental student, I will have to spare two full days to attend the clinic as there will be two practical exams.
I am planning to take leave from 23 November till 30 November. This period will allow me to review my course material and attend the practicals. Because this is the final semester and it holds my future, I want to write my exams with full preparedness due to which I will need one week’s time.
I understand the inconvenience this may cause to you, due to the year end and upcoming projects, however I have talked to Jessica who works on the weekends to fill in for me during my absence. Moreover, I am willing to do over time once I return back to compensate for any pending work.
Thank you in advance.
Your sincerely,
Preet Sohi
