IELTS Letter 8-2

Dear Sir,

I am writing this letter to complain about a faulty kitchen appliance that I purchased from your store and poor customer service that I received afterwards.

Last Sunday, I bought a 4 in 1 multipurpose grill sandwich maker of Black and Decker company from your shop. To my surprise, when I tried to fit in the plates, none of them fit. Moreover, the light does not seem to turn on when the appliance is plugged in.

I called your shop to address this problem, however they did not pay any heed to it. One of your customer service representatives told me that it was the manufacture’s defect and the shop could not anything about it. After several requests, they agreed to send some to collect this equipment from my home, but no one showed up till date.

As a store manager, it is your duty to ensure the customer expectations are met and they served with due respect. Therefore, I would like you to immediately send someone to my address to replace this sandwich maker with a brand new one.

I hope you will take a prompt action on this.

Yours sincerely,
Preet Sohi
