Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing this letter to express my interest in rendering voluntary services at your hospital.
I think this is a great opportunity for me to serve the humanity and make a difference in their lives. Also, since I am a medical student, this will be a learning experience for me and a chance to do hands on observation in the hospital. Therefore, it will definitely be beneficial for my career as I will have a thorough understanding about the hospital set up.
I am particularly interested in gerontology that is helping the elderly with their problems. So, I will partake in giving timely medications to the senior patients and following up on their routinely check up. Besides, I will try to engage the people suffering from dementia or alzheimerès in conversations and games so that they do not feel isolated.
Although I am a full time student, I will spare out time to visit the hospital in the evenings. I will be available 5pm to 8 pm every evening from Monday to Friday but on the weekends and holidays I shall be free entire day, so I can offer voluntary services from 10am to 5pm in those days.
I hope to hear a positive response from you.
Yours sincerely,
Preet Sohi
