IELTS Reading Module Mastery
Master speed reading, skimming, scanning, and time management techniques to excel in the IELTS Reading test.
IELTS Reading Test Overview
The IELTS Reading test consists of 40 questions to be completed in 60 minutes. The test format differs slightly between Academic and General Training, but both assess your ability to understand written English effectively.
Academic Reading
3 long texts from books, journals, magazines, and newspapers. Topics are academic but accessible to non-specialists.
General Training Reading
Extracts from books, magazines, newspapers, notices, advertisements, company handbooks, and guidelines.
Time Management
60 minutes for 40 questions means approximately 1.5 minutes per question. Strategic time allocation is crucial.
No Transfer Time
Unlike Listening, you must write answers directly on the answer sheet. Time management is critical.
