Overall, it is apparent that except Frankfurt, price of houses in all cities increased. The most significant growth was seen in London.
The average house price increased by 2% and 3% for Madrid and Frankfurt in 1990-1995 compared to prices in 1989. However, the price of houses in New York saw a decline by 5%. Similarly, Tokyo and London houses’ price also witnessed a drop by 7% in 1990-1995 from prices in 1989.
In 1996-2002, the average cost of houses in New York saw a dramatic growth and rose by 5%. Likewise, average house price in Madrid climbed to 4% in 1996-2000 as compared to 1989 prices. Despite showing a negative percentage, house prices in Tokyo increased to 5% from 1990-1995 average. While, significant growth was seen in London where the cost of houses soared by more than 10% in 1996-200 from 1986. On the contrary, Frankfurt houses’ saw a decrease in their price by 2%.
