India is famous for its scenic beauty and there are many rivers flowing in it. I would like to describe Sukhna lake which is in Chandigarh in the northern part of India.

Sukhna lake is in Chandigarh, just at the footprints of mighty Shivalik hills. It is a natural reservoir which was created in late 1958 by damming a small stream of water coming down from the Himalayas.

People usually come there and feel relaxed. I remember 2 to 3 years ago; I went there with my cousins for an evening outing. We reached there around 4 PM and started to click pictures. After a while, we bought tickets to take the swings and enjoyed all the roller coasters near the lake. Then we all decided to do boating. It was almost 5:30 and we thought boating would be a great way to enjoy the sunset. After doing all these activities we proceeded to home.

I really like this place because of its location, that is amidst in tranquillity. Everyone can enjoy the different parts of the day here, ranging from sunrise where there is a early morning mist, to the dusk where everything turns tangerine and offers a spectacular view. Also, I personally admire this place due to the memories attached with this place, as I belong to the same City where it is situated.
