Sample Answer:

Mostly I am fond of watching comedy and horror shows on the TV. I have seen a lot of comedy shows and every show had a different context, but the show which I can claim as to be my favorite, is a show called Office Office. It is not telecasted these days as it went off the air around five or six years ago. But still, it is one of it is my favorite shows. The show was so popular at the time of its airing that for 15 years in a row it won the award for the most hilarious TV show in India.

The show was based on a concept where a common man visited a different government office in every episode to get some task done and then the show elaborated on the type of harassment being faced by him at the hands of different government officials. It used to be telecasted it every day from Monday to Friday and every day it used to show that how the common man named Mr. Musaddi used to visit  different government offices and how he was treated.

One can judge it popularity from the fact that when the show was used to be telecasted  from the year 2001 and till it ended in 2015, it was the best comedy sitcom on Indian television for 15 years in a row. The main reason behind this success was that in every episode they used to show a different concept and people could relate that TV show with their own lives. It showcased the struggles people faced in the government offices. They could relate the struggle of that common man in the show to their own lives and because of its popularity the show was translated into 26 Indian languages. In total there are 28 states in India and it was viewed in all of them.

And the major reason why I liked it because I am very fond of comedy serials so this was the first thing which got me to attracted towards the show and the second thing that when I saw that serial, I realized that whatever was being shown on the TV it was actually the bitter truth of life the people used to face in India. People were suffering exploitation at the hands of government servants and the show was showing the reality on the TV screens. It was a very bold attempt by the team of Office Office, that they decided to show what was actually happening in the Indian society on television without any censorship.

I even felt that because of the show being telecasted on the national television, the corruption levels came very low because people started feeling that if they do something bad then the show might even focus on their actions and they might get caught. So it was observed buy a lot of surveys during that time that the corruption levels went very low.

It was also instrumental in getting a lot of corrupt officials caught by the investigative agencies because when people saw that somebody has taken a bold step to showcase their harassment on Indian television people came forward and submitted the complaints against officials who had her ask them and in this way a lot of corrupt officials we’re caught red handed. Because of increased awareness level among the people of my country and as well as providing them with the satirical comedy, I liked the show very much and I was so much obsessed of the show that I still have all the episodes recorded on my hard drive and whenever I feel that I need to see a particular episode I just play and I still feel that that show was the best thing to happen to Indian television.
