Sample Answer:( Talk about an older person)
I am a very talkative person and because of this nature of mine, I easily get friendly with people of all ages and especially to old people. Old people, mostly love to talk and share their experiences with someone and I find it interesting to talk to those people and get to know them. Because of my job as a banker, I connect to a lot of old people, but today I would like to describe my grandmother.
My grandmother is 90 years old and since I remember I have seen her old with wrinkled face, but Ihave never seen her face losing its smile and glow. I have known her since the day I was born, as my mother told me that I was born at my grandmother’s house. She was the first person in our family to touch me and in our culture, we have a tradition that the first person who picks up a newly born kid, gets him something to eat. Therefore, I was given the first thing to eat by my grandmother as a kind of blessings. Since that day I have seen her affection growing every time I meet her.
There are a lot of good things which I would like to tell about her. First of all, she’s very caring and protective towards all her grandchildren as well as her children. I’ve seen her taking care of me, my brother, my cousins as well as of my mother and my uncles. Secondly, she is a very good cook, so whenever I go to visit my grandmothers place, she keeps ready a lot of things to eat and every time she has different recipes for me to taste. I consider it worth mentioning that the taste she’s able to develop in her dishes, I’ve never tasted that kind of dishes even from my mother’s hand.
The only thing which I do not like about my grandmother is that she’s a bit biased towards male children in the family. I’ve seen her discriminate with my sisters, but sometimes I feel that her this kind of behavior is totally based on lack of education because when she was young she was not given proper education, so she could not develop her mindset in a way that she could understand that there’s no difference between boys and girls, so her mindset developed into what society was practicing in those times. Although, I hate this aspect of hers, but also I know that it’s not her mistake, so I always try to forgive her for this kind of acts of her’s.
The best thing which I like about her is her affectionate nature. I still remember that during our childhood when we used to visit my grandmother‘s place and irrespective of how busy she was, she used to make us eat with her own hands. She used to get me ready every day in the morning and take me for a walk every day in the park besides her house. This protective and caring nature of her made me more attracted to her and this affection has grown day by day and till this day even if I miss a day to call my mother, I never miss to call my grandmother at least once every day.
