Sample Answer:

I remember one particular moment when on that day, I kept on watching at the sky for a very long duration of time. It was way back in 1998, I was in ninth standard and it was in the news that earth was expecting some meteor showers that night. I don’t remember the exact name of the constellation or meteor but I think it was Leonoid. So, I was very much excited about that incident because since my birth that was the first time I had heard such a thing and I wanted to see how beautiful it looked. I’d heard from other people before that the sky looked very beautiful on such occasions whenever people had seen stars falling from the sky. It looked very bright when some lighting objects fell from the sky.

But, I myself had never seen those so I did not want to miss that opportunity to experience the real natural fireworks in the sky. It was forecasted that meteor showers might start at 9:30 in the night, so I told two of my friends so that we could enjoy that moment together and luckily it was Sunday next day so we did not have to worry about going to school the very next day, hence we had a lot of time to look at the sky that particular night. My friends came to my home, they had dinner with me and then after taking permission from my parents we went to our rooftop. We laid down on mattresses over there and we kept on looking at the sky. We had half an hour pending for the showers, at the time we laid down but even without the meteor showers the sky looked amazing and we were lucky enough on that day, that the sky was very clear because it had rained in the afternoon, so all the pollution from the air was gone and as it was not a cloudy sky so all the stars in the sky were clearly visible. I knew that this experience will be the one which I will remember for rest of my life.

Finally, the moment came and we saw the first shower at around 9;30. It was just like small sprinkling of salt in the sky as there were very small drops of light in the sky in the beginning but as the time passed by, the frequency of showers kept on increasing and by 9:30 it was like fireworks in the sky. The meteor showers were visible at a lot of places. I was just praying for one of them to fall near to me so that I can keep it as a memento, but that thing never happened. I kept on watching for very long because I knew that this experience might not come again in my lifetime so I did not want to miss it. I thank God that on that particular day I saw what I expected and because I spend the time with my friends therefore it became a became a memorable moment for three of us. When everything was over it was about 12:30 in the night and we had spent around four hours on the rooftop and even my friends were so ecstatic to see the natural fireworks in the sky. Since, that day I have looked for opportunity to see those kind of showers again, but till now I haven’t got that opportunity again. That day I realized that it’s such a wonderful experience to enjoy nature in its true form
