Sample Answer:

Although, I had a lot of friends during my childhood, but the first name which comes to my mind whenever I try to remember my childhood friends, is the name of a person who everyone in school used to call Prabhu. He was a very simple person from a very small village in Punjab. I met him during my boarding school days. In my boarding school we used to have four sections into which all students were divided and we used to call the sections as houses, I was in one house and he was in another house. The name of the houses were based on name of rivers in the province of Punjab. Although, we were in separate houses but we were classmates so that was the time when I met Prabhu.

The exact incident when I met Prabhu for the first time might not be that much clear in my mind, but why I’m so close to him is because he was a person who used to sit with me for four years in a stretch,  starting from the fourth grade till eighth grade, both of us used to sit on the same seat and most interestingly we used to like the same girl and most importantly because we used to like the same girl that was the major reason that our friendship grew. Both of us knew that neither he had the guts to confess to the girl and neither do I had, so none of us ever went to the girl and expressed our feelings, but still because we had at least one thing in common and that thing kind of bonded us together.

However, after passing the school we never met each other. In those days we did not have means to communicate like we have these days like, emails, Internet and other social media. So, after passing the school I was totally out of touch with him for around 20 years. I never knew where he was there was no way that I could communicate with him.

But then one day he found my elder brother on Facebook and through him he was able to contact me. At that time I came to know that he had moved to Canada and he became a truck driver over there. He told me that he moved to Canada five or seven years before he contacted me. I was very joyful on that day because we got in touch with each other again. I never dreamed that I would ever get that chance to talk to Prabhu again.

On that day when we talked to each other, we were not that jovial with him as we used to be during the school days but still I was happy that I had found one of my lost friend. The first thing when I talked to him after a gap of 20 years was that  I asked him about knowing anything about the girl and he said no and then the conversation went on for another four hours. We were so mixed up with each other since our childhood and that is the majot reason I will remember him till my last breath.
