Sample Answer:

During my school days I was a very studious person. Being amongst the toppers in my class, so I used to like all the subjects, but my favourite subject was Biology. I liked Biology because I always loved to know about the human body. I was fascinated by how all those organs worked together to make the human body function successful and that was the reason that even in my higher classes I opted for Biology in addition to mathematics. In addition to the academic benefits of Biology one other factor which was motivating for me or maybe which was the reason behind selecting Biology as my subject of my interest was because I felt that it was knowledgeable subject as well and bit of naughty subject.

In my native country India, talking about sex and related topics is a taboo. So in biology we used to have a lesson on reproduction and that was the hot topic of discussion amongst all the teenagers in our class at that time and more interestingly as that subject was taught by the most beautiful teacher in our school it became more interesting. On the day she was about to teach about  reproduction nobody in the class was absent and I could see the interest in the eyes of students. No matter it was a boy or maybe it was a girl, everybody was equally interested in getting to know about the subject. Moreover, from our seniors we had the information that the teacher might not give that much detail about the processes but still she’ll be talking about sexual process and that was making it more interested.

The teacher who used to teach biology, used to teach it with full interest. The subject is about the body structure and organisms, so she used to teach the subject with diagrams. She used to explain all the concepts diagrammatically and it made the understanding very easier for us. She labelled every part of the diagram and by that we came to know that how different organs were located at a particular location of the body and it increased our understanding. After studying Biology, through her ways, the body which used to be a mystery for us earlier , then we had a better understanding of our body as we knew that how all the parts all the organs collaborated and contributed towards functioning of the whole body. There were still some concepts which were not explainable by biology such as what was the thing which was making all the organs work together.

But, the collaborative effort as explained by a teacher made the understanding very easy for us and based on those concepts I learned that how other fields which were related to our body were working, such as acupressure. I came to know that in acupressure also they believe that some points are connected to different body parts and then I understood the relationship within acupressure and biology. Additionally, there’s another subject physiotherapy, according to which I learned, how making different poses helped in relaxation of different tissues and muscles.

Finally, one more thing which improved with the help of my biology was my drawing skills. As I told you earlier that in the biology class we had to draw a lot of diagrams and slowly and slowly as I kept on drawing the diagrams I came to know how to make proper structures. So, as we kept on drawing new structures and new diagrams my drawing got improved and I’m thankful the teacher for making us do the drawings because I started doing professional paintings after learning the drawing in my biology class and although she did not contribute directly but indirectly somewhere I find that she is instrumental behind my success.
