Opting an employment or tourism for a year just before commencing higher studies is considered plausible for young generation in few nations. This essay will discuss both the positive and negative aspect of this perspective.

Fundamentally, students who pursue this notion gain wide personal and social benefits. The most substantial one besides stimulation of their confidence is their exposure to the practical life and its challenges. If they choose employment, they will learn a lot about job market .Moreover, it gives them an excellent chance to save for their own studies instead of being worried about finances during tough university schedule. Likewise, tourism broadens their horizon of cultural diversity, employment or study prosspectives in other countries and acquaintance with other domains of studies/research.

Alternatively, giving a gap between studies may prove detrimental to students by detracting them. Financial independence and social liberation they have during this time may urge them to discontinue studies. They might perceive an illusion that they can gain much in life even without having university degree or sometimes they just lose their motivation to get higher qualification. Additionally, people at this tender age are not mature enough they could involve in criminal or offensive activities because now they are free from academic responsibilities so they have more time.

Conclusively, although indulging young generation in employment or tourism just after completing high school studies carries its own financial and personality growth gains but the drawback of this notion are worth noticing as well .Giving up for higher education or involvement in illegal activities are the major concerns in persuading this stance
