Sample Answer 1 ( Band 7)

Many individuals choose to study through electronic means while the traditional on-campus education system is still preferred by others. Both the aspects have their own positives and negatives. However, I feel classroom teaching has an edge over online course study because of its enhanced features.

A wide range of people think that online course study is better than the traditional way. They feel so because according to them, it is time-saving. It comes with an access to plethora of online resources. Furthermore, it is more economical. People are of the opinion that online courses save them from a tiring commute which in a way, also saves time and money. They also feel that online courses give them freedom to use online resources free of cost as usually, they are part of the package. Hence, students find it convenient and engaging.

On the other hand, a wide number of people feel that the traditional way of classroom teaching is more efficient because it helps the teacher and student to build personal bond, which further helps in the learning process. Many of the learners also find it a more comprehensive way of building their social and educational skills. It gives them an opportunity to interact with other students and helps them learn through exchange of ideas.

To conclude, I think both online methodology and classroom teaching have their own merits however, in my opinion, classroom teaching leads to an all-round development of a student. It not only builds the personality of the student, but also gives him an opportunity to engage in sharing of different ideas in the classroom leading to a better understanding of the concept.
