Security Guard Interview questions

To help you in the interview process, we’ve also given some common interview questions which can be asked in a security guard interviews. So hopefully all this information will help you and you will be able to make a successful career as a security guard in British Columbia.

 

  1. Why do you want to be a security guard ?
  2. Why our company ?
    • When I started looking for the job in the security industry. I came to know about your company. I found on internet that it is really good for new security guards. I decided to make my career here.
  3. Are you comfortable working alone ?
    • Yes, I am comfortable working alone. I have already worked alone in another previous job. I do not get nervous and can handle problems alone. In case of serious issue, I should be calling my supervisor.
  4. Will you be able to do job by standing ?
  5. Are you comfortable working in rotational shifts ?
    • I can work any time of the day. I have no problem working at nights and I can remain alert during my shifts.
  6. Are you comfortable working in night shifts ?
    • I dont have any problem working in any shift. I have worked at odd hours in my previous jobs also. So that will not be a problem for me.
  7. Do you have a car to travel ?
    • yes, I have my own vehicle, so it will be easier for me to travel to reach location which are difficult to reach. Also, I will be able to reach on time and that will help in leaving a positive impression on the client.
  8. How much salary are you expecting ?
    • As per market survey done by me on internet and other friends, I expect to get salary of around $20 ( in 2022 basic salary $16). This valuation of my skill motivate me to devote myself fully to the role.But, I am still open to negotiations.
  9. What are your long term plans ?
    • As per my plan , I want to start at basic position in the security industry and after getting to know the basics, I will start working to move to higher position. I also plan to get my AST license after some time.
  10. How comfortable are you talking to unknown people ?
    • I like to make friends with people and that has been possible because I can very easily open up to new people. So, that thing will be beneficial to me in this job because I will be able to connect with strangers.
