Some children spend hours everyday on their smartphones.

Why is this the case?

Do you think this is a positive or a negative development?

Answer :

It is evident from our day-to-day exposure that mobile phone has become the top priority of some kids to spend most of their daily time on these. In my perspective there are various reasons that put weight to count this trend in a positive manner.

To begin with, there are countless causes behind investing hours on cell phones. Firstly, most students need phones who wants to surf the Internet to do online learning. There are cases where children cannot attend physical classes and they take advantage of modern technology to do their study. Secondly, mobile phone has become the handy product in terms of entertainment. One can play music, watch video games and even news can be read through smartphones. Subsequently children have to use phone in daily life for lot of other purposes.

Phone also has some benefits. Smartphone is often used to socialize with kith and kins. There are numerous social applications like WhatsApp, Zoom Facebook etcetera, which are not only helpful in calling but provide other functions such as texting and posting videos on their platforms. Furthermore, teenagers can download several significant applications which help in navigating maps, providing health updates and many more. All these factors contribute towards the fruitful aspect of using mobile phones.

To recapitulate, in my opinion usage of cell phones comes with myriad advantages and becoming used to these phones is not a negative aspect. The pros of using it to a child are dominant and can outweigh demerit, if any. Hence, being habitual of these is common
