The maps display the layout of Southwest Airport at present and proposed changes to make it look differently after renovations next year.
Overall, it apparent that the size of airport will expand by increasing the number of gates and offering additional facilities to accommodate both arriving and departing passengers.
The location of arrivals and departures will remain same as present, however the check in counter is projected to move from left to right side after the redevelopment to make space for bag drop area. Moreover, the cafe which is before the passport control will be re positioned near to the doors of departure hall. Nonetheless, the security, passport control and customs will remain unchanged.
It is predicted in the future plan, there will be an inclusion of cafe, ATM and car hires in the arrival space with is currently missing. Moreover, shops will be constructed just after exiting the security. The most noticeable alterations will be replacing the walkway with the sky train track and branching the corridor to add ten more gates for the passengers.
