Sponsor spouse to Canada

Every year, lot of people get married in Canada and a large number of them get married to people who are not in Canada. So, they need to sponsor their spouse to Canada to help them to come to Canada as permanent residents.

Canada has special immigration plan available to sponsor spouses to come to Canada. The sponsoring spouse has to ensure to take care of the sponsored one, financially.

Eligibility to sponsor:

  • Age > = 18 years.
  • Canadian citizen or PR or Registered Indian.
  • Not receiving social assistance.
  • Did not sponsor another spouse in last 3 years.
  • Did not get sponsored in last 5 years.

Process :

  1. Sponsor fills the sponsorship form.
  2. Sponsored spouse fills PR application.
  3. Completed forms are sent by mail / courier to visa office.
  4. Check email / post regularly for updates on processing. OR
  5. Create online account and link application to it.
  6. After approval , send passports, 2 photos .

 

Processing Time :

The process can take up to 12 months to complete, but times vary according to the countries involved.

Fee :

The fee to sponsor a spouse is

  • Sponsorship Fee = $75
  • Processing Fee = $475
  • Right of PR Fee = $500
  • Biometrics Fee =  $85
  • Our Fee (Consultant fee) = $500
  • Medical Exam Fee = varies doctor to doctor
  • Police Certificate Fee = varies by country

  • Marriage certificate
  • Passports
  • Police certificates
  • Proof of relationships / contact / visits
