Once you graduate from RupIELTS, you aren't limited to one type of job. The Basic Security Training (BST) license is the standard for the entire industry in BC.
1. Mobile Patrol
The Job: You drive a marked company vehicle, visiting multiple sites (warehouses, schools, parks) throughout your shift to check for break-ins.
Why do it: Freedom. You aren't stuck in one spot. Plus, you get to drive.
2. Healthcare Security (Hospital Watch)
The Job: Working in ERs and hospitals in Surrey or Vancouver. You protect doctors, nurses, and patients.
Why do it: High pay and high impact. You are truly helping people in crisis.
3. Concierge / Residential Security
The Job: Working at the front desk of a luxury condo in downtown Vancouver or Burnaby.
Why do it: You wear a suit, not a uniform. It is indoor work that focuses on customer service.
4. Loss Prevention (LPO)
The Job: Working undercover in retail stores to catch shoplifters.
Why do it: Adrenaline. It requires keen observation and knowledge of arrest procedures (which we teach you!).
5. Construction Site Security
The Job: Monitoring gates and materials at new developments.
Why do it: Great for students who need quiet time to study during night shifts.
