Sample Answer:

The pie charts represent electricity generation from different fuel sources in Australia and France in 1980 and 2000.

Overall, it is apparent that the total production of electricity increased significantly for both the countries. Coal was the major source of electricity in Australia whereas nuclear power overtook other fuels in France in the latter year.

In Australia, the dominant source was coal, producing 50 units of electricity in 1980 and it later surged dramatically to 130 units in 2000. Likewise, electricity production from hydro power climbed from 20 units in 1980 to 36 units in 2000. However, oil and natural gas decreased in 2000 and contributed to only 2 units for electricity production.

In France, coal, oil and natural gas were the main sources of electricity generation in 1980. Apparently, electricity produced from nuclear power rose dramatically from 15 units in 1980 to 126 units in 2000, making it the biggest electricity source. Coal and oil each contributed to 25 units of electricity production in 2000. On contrary, natural gas declined significantly to generate only 2 units in 2000.
