when and where you met this person
what you thought about this person when you first met
and explain why you became good friends with this person

Answer:

It was during my first year of university when I met Alex, a fellow student in my Computer Science class. We were both new to the city, having moved from different parts of the country for our studies. Our first encounter was at the university library, where we were both trying to get our hands on the same book for an upcoming assignment.

Alex struck me as someone unique from the moment we met. He had a vibrant personality that was hard to ignore, and his passion for technology was evident in the way he spoke about our shared course. Despite our initial competition for the book, we quickly found common ground in our shared interests and aspirations.

Our friendship grew over time, nurtured by countless study sessions, shared meals, and late-night discussions about everything from coding challenges to life’s mysteries. Alex’s unwavering positivity, even in the face of tough academic challenges, was inspiring. His ability to find humor in stressful situations often lightened the mood and made our university life more enjoyable.

What solidified our friendship, however, was not just our shared interests, but also our differences. Alex’s optimistic outlook balanced my more pragmatic approach to life. We learned from each other, challenged each other, and pushed each other to be better. Our friendship was a testament to the saying that ‘opposites attract’.

In retrospect, meeting Alex was one of the highlights of my university life. Our friendship, which started over a shared book, has grown into a bond that I cherish. It’s a relationship that has not only enriched my university experience but also shaped me as a person. It’s a testament to the fact that sometimes, the most ordinary circumstances can lead to the most extraordinary friendships.
